IJEN CRATER

Ijen crater is a tourist attraction that has been widely recognized by the domestic and foreign tourists for its natural beauty. Every day the crater never empty of visitors. On a typical day visitors crater average of only hundreds of people, but on a week end or holidays can be reached over two thousand people, even at certain moments such as New Year's Eve, visitors can reach 4 thousand more. Every year is always an increase in the number of visitors, both domestic and foreign, along with the increasing popularity of the crater.

If in 2011 the number of visitors of the crater has only reached about 16 thousand people, then in 2015 has increased almost 10-fold to 150 thousand visitors. With the enactment of Mount Ijen as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in March 2016, certainly charm the crater will be increasingly global and draw more foreign tourists. RED ISLAND BEACH
