Monkey forest, Ubud, Gianyar, Bali is a tourist attraction that was occupied by hundreds of monkeys. This place became one of the favorite attractions in the area of Ubud, Gianyar is also a holy place for Hindus in Bali. This area is located between the village of Padang Tegal and Nyuh Kuning, Ubud District, Gianyar Regency, exactly 26 km from Denpasar City.
Currently, the monkey forest have more than hundreds of monkeys live in harmony for a long time together with 115 species of rare trees found by scientists. Monkey forest area is about 12 hectares and there are several temples and religious festivals are held regularly by the local community.

This monkey forest has two doors from the east and west sides. Some shopping centers such as Ubud market just a few minutes from Monkey forest area, after visiting the forest, visitors can visit the market that sell various kinds of Balinese items such as accessories, paintings, crafts and woven fabrics.
